Placemaking and city systems.
Wayfinding strategies.
A user-centred approach.
Ahh, we’ve found each other.
This is Ian
and this is Sam.
We are two of Australia’s leading wayfinding, interpretive and experience designers.
We create seamless, intuitive and enjoyable journeys for urban and natural environments.

Behind every system is a strategy.
We work with clients, communities, and other designers to deliver safe and connected journeys. We develop comprehensive multi-modal wayfinding systems that provide the right information at the right time and turn complex spaces into navigable places.
Revealing the hidden narratives.
We love to deep dive into projects to uncover fascinating stories about places and their people, ecologies, histories, and futures. Our interpretive projects reveal hidden narratives that engage and inspire visitors of all ages.

From every strategy comes a system.
Our wayfinding signage systems are awarded for their cohesive aestheticism and comprehensive functionality. We believe signage systems need to talk - to the user, and to each other: we pride ourselves on producing designs that are highly legible and visible in any environment.

Proper Planning Prevents Poor Performance.
The five 'P's of system implementation. We carry decades of experience in expertise implementing complex wayfinding and interpretive systems and package across all major sectors, including stadia, public realm, education, transport, and health. We utilise best-practice implementation principles to ensure designs are accurately realised and properly installed.

Walking the walk.
Found Wayfinding's Walk Shops are wayfinding and interpretive specific workshops based in place. These events are designed to merge community engagement with active participation in the development of wayfinding strategies and interpretive story telling. We like to get our hands dirty, and get amongst place.

Listening to what matters.
Our team has extensive experience working with communities of all types: organisation members, employees, stakeholders, and the public. We develop and facilitate workshops to engage your community and garner niche knowledge about a project including its hidden opportunities and challenges to make sure we leverage the best and avoid the worst.
